Johnson B. Awe
Johnson B. Awe has been for the past nine years, the Head of Emergency and Business Continuity management at Petroleum Development Oman LLC (PDO), based in Muscat, Oman. Prior to joining PDO, he worked as Corporate HSE Manager in oil and gas Service Company; HSE Manager in a seismic exploration company among many others. In his present role, he is responsible for the overall emergency and business continuity management for PDO.
Johnson is an excellent team player and a self-motivated professional with over 26 years diverse field experience in a multinationals' setting that cuts across HSE, emergency/disaster and business continuity management, IT disaster recovery, fire detection/alarm systems, engineering as well as wider risk management in the oil & gas industry and others. His key achievements included: creating the first business continuity plan for PDO from scratch; continuing the maintenance of the BCMS – BIA/BCP review; conducting over three live full-scale BC/IT DR exercises – to ascertain the effectiveness and robustness of the BCMS; conducting over 20 in-house BC training and awareness sessions for the BC team members; embedding business continuity management into the organisational culture of PDO to increase overall company resilience; identifying, evaluating, selecting and obtaining final approval for a BC fallback site; a member of the project team for the selection, evaluation and building of the first IT disaster recovery offsite mobile modular data centre, the first in Oman; Lead implementer in the first ISO-27001 certification process of the company information security management system. He has received PDO's Chairman Award for Excellence for full implementation of IT-DR Offsite and PDO's Director Award for full implementation of Business Continuity Fallback site and IT-DR Offsite.
Yves Dávila is Managing Director at Protiviti Peru and he leads the BCM and Business Resilience Practice. He has more than 20 years of professional experience. He has led several projects with clients from countries such Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina, and in various industries such as Banking, Mining, Gas and Oil, Electricity, Telecommunications, among others.
His experience includes projects related to the establishment of BCMS, Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, Business Continuity Plans, Disaster Recovery Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Incident Management Plans and Communication in Crisis, Maturity Levels Assessment, as well as Business Continuity Exercises, and Personnel Training and Awareness Programs, among others.
Yves holds the MBCI, CBCP, ISO 22301 Implementer and Lead Auditor Certiﬁcations and he is a BCMM Maturity Model Assessor. He is an instructor of the BCI certiﬁcation courses, BCMM Maturity Model Advisor, ISO 22301 Implementation and Organizational Resilience from ICOR. He is also Chairman of the Editorial Advisory Board of DRJ (Disaster Recovery Journal) en Espanol, the most important magazine in Spanish for Business Continuity and Organizational Resilience.
Jesús E. (Nesty) Delgado-Morales, BSCE, MPM, BCCS
Jesús E. (Nesty) Delgado-Morales, BSCE, MPM, BCCS, with more than 20 years of professional experience, is the President of OKA Project Management & Strategic Leadership LLC, who provide consulting services in Project Management, Strategic Leadership, Emergency Management, Business Continuity and Organizational Resilience to several private institutions, NGO’s, credit unions, and municipalities in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and the Spanish-speaking community in the United States.
Nesty is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, with a Bachelor's degree in Sciences of Civil Engineering and a concentration in Project Management. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Design & Project Management at the Internation Iberoamerican University (UNINI).
He is Board Certified as Master Project Manager by the American Academy of Project Management, a Project Management for Development Professional (PMD Pro) certified by APMG International, and a Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP) & BC Certified Specialist (BCCS) by the Business Continuity Management Institute. He is also certified as a Master Military Emergency Management Specialist by the SGAUS MEMS Academy.
Nesty is a member of the Business Continuity Institute; the BCM Institute, the Disaster Recovery Institute, the All-Hazards Incident Management Teams Association, ICOR and an associate member of the American Society for Civil Engineers.
Delgado is an honorably retired Colonel (O6) from the Puerto Rico Air State Guard-PR National Guard, where he held multiple command and leadership positions, and where he developed as a subject matter expert in Project Management, Emergency Management (ICS-NIMS), Military Support to Civil Authorities (MSCA) & Continuity of Operations (COOP).
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
Timothé is a BCM practitioner and a Crisis management specialist with 20 years of professional experience, and more than 15 years in the preparedness industry.
He is Executive Director at Capresiliencia, a consulting company he owns in order to enhance Organizational Resilience in Latin America.
Timothé is a certified organizational resilience and business continuity professional. He is MBCI, holds the ISO 22301 Lead Implementer with the PCEB, the Adaptive BC Foundations certificate and the Organizational Resilience certificate from the CIRERO (France).
Previously he worked as Business Continuity Manager and BC Consultant in various organizations in Latin America, served as Crisis coordinator and implemented Business Continuity Management Projects for several customers in Europe and LATAM.
He has also participated in the implementation of Risk Management Program, using the international standard ISO 31000 and the RIMS (Risk & Insurance Management Society) good practices. He holds the Operational Risk Manager and Internal Control Specialist certifications.
Timothé has worked in multiple industries such as Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, Health, Food and Government.
He has participated as a speaker in many conferences, wrote BCM articles and he is an instructor of Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Resilience courses in Latin America.
Tim is also an active member of the Adaptive Advisory Group, a group of preparedness specialists dedicated to transform the practice of business continuity management in order to make it more agile, more efficient and more compliant with the organizations strategic objectives.
Andrew is an independent consultant specializing in offering training and consultancy services in business continuity management and crisis management related subjects. Between April 2007 and September 2018, he was the founder and sole director of DRBCM Associates Pte Ltd.
Prior to April 2007, he was the regional head of Business Continuity Management in Deutsche Bank supervising the program in 17 countries across the Asia Pacific region. Over the 8-1/2 years, he had helped to build a team of 12 full-time BCM staff physically based in five countries and collectively covered all the countries under his jurisdiction.
Out of a total of over 28 years in the banking industry, he spent close to 10 years in the area of business continuity management and another 17 years in the area of global markets trading and operations.
Between 2008 and 2009, as the Principal Trainer for DRI Singapore, he was tasked with preparing more than 200 participants (over 19 classes) for their BCM qualifying examinations leading up to professional certification with Disaster Recovery Institute International.
Since January 2010, he took on the role of Asia Campus Director for The ICOR University coordinating the marketing as well as being its main trainer in the Asia Pacific region in BCM and crisis management and communications subjects. He is an ISO 22301 Lead Auditor and with effect from June 10 2014, he was appointed to the Board of Directors at The ICOR.
He was one of the mentors with the Singapore Business Federation in the early years of the National BCM Program and since then had helped a number of organizations implement their programs and leading them through third-party BCM readiness certification.
He is also a regular speaker at BCM related conferences and workshops sharing his experiences with the industry. He had taught BCM as well as crisis management & communications courses to participants from all industries in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and The Russian Federation as well as being one of the main instructors for the BCM Training Program of The Association of Banks in Singapore since its inception in 2006.

She was also the first consultant in Asia to launch the Solar Energy program in a school based in Singapore in 2011.

Bryon is a Global Director of Critical Environments Training for JLL – Jones Lang LaSalle. He started his career in the Navy Nuclear Power program where he first learned what mission critical is all about. Bryon immediately showed aptitude towards training at his first station about the USS Hawkbill – a nuclear powered submarine – where he was placed in charge of training, drills and preparation for evaluation by Naval Reactors. His next station was no different – Bryon was placed in charge of training and development of the nuclear maintenance team about the USS Samuel Gompers – a destroyer tender. He left the military with Honors and a new found appreciation for critical operations.

Organizational Resilience Senior Consultant, with more than 18 years of experience, Industrial Engineer and Specialized in Information Systems of the Universidad de Los Andes (Bogota, Colombia); certified as ISO22301 Lead Auditor and ICOR training partner, as well as MBCI by BCI (UK), MBCP, Risk Manager and CyberResilience Professional by DRII. He is the CEO, Marketing and Sales Director, and Sr Consultant of iteam, a Colombia-based company he started in 2004 that delivers Resilience Services focused on Business Continuity, Information Security, and Risk Management under GRC concepts for the Latin-American region.
He was also the president of the Latin-American Continuity Association, ALCONT (because its words in Spanish), founded in 2010. Speaker at several local and international events in the sector, he participated in the worldwide group of “Zero Outage”, coordinated by the IBM Global Data Center team and has the main service providers and global operators of more than 200 Data Centers and Critical Mission facilities.
Author of technical articles for specialized magazines, he was a speaker at several national and international events in the areas of Telecom, IT and Data Center.
Al is a Manager at Ernst & Young focused on organizational resilience. He has over 25 years of risk management and business continuity consulting experience. Prior to DQL, Al was the Consulting Director at Fairchild Consulting. He also served as a senior consultant with SunGard Availability Services and Strohl Systems. Prior to that, he was a Risk Management Consultant at Zurich Insurance Group in their Wall Street office and in their US Headquarters. He has authored numerous industry magazine articles and conducted numerous training sessions on a variety of risk management and business continuity topics. He has been a featured international speaker in a variety of forums including Conference presentations at DRJ, Continuity Insights, NEDRIX and the Discover Card annual BCP summit. His article on utilizing Social Media in Disasters was published by Forbes.
He has earned the MBCP certification and is also a Certified Organizational Resiliency Manager and Supply Chain Risk Associate through the International Consortium of Organization Resilience (ICOR) as well as an Associate Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (AFBCI). He has recently been appointed to the ICOR Governing Board. He has earned the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM) designations as well as being an ISO 22301 Lead Auditor. Al has also been recognized by the State of Delaware for Outstanding Contributions to their annual exercise program.
Arlene M. Silva
Arlene is a DRII Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) with 25 years of program and organizational development experience with businesses of varied types, from one person start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, and across a broad range of industries. She has focused exclusively on business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives for the last 15 years, serving as the Director of Corporate Business Continuity Management for National Life Group, a diversified group of financial management services and insurance companies.
Arlene's current engagement is as the Lead Consultant and Principal for ContinuityWorks LLC, a business continuity management services company that specializes in mentoring, training, and supporting business owners and business continuity leaders through the BC Program development and implementation process.
Garth is a DRI Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), an experienced Disaster Recovery, and Emergency Management planner. His career focus is on the development and management of resiliency programs as well as effective management of crisis events.
The path to his current position as the Manager of Emergency Planning and Business Continuity for the City of Regina began with software development, project and program management, and as an IT technology educator worldwide for IBM in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He transitioned to disaster recovery, business continuity, and crisis management beginning in 2002. Significant formal, and self-education throughout his career has ensured he remains relevant and effective.
